This is an amazing recipe! My four picky eaters gobbled them up and asked for seconds. The sauce is really good over the chicken when you serve it, as well as rice/vegetables. Thank you for sharing! This will be a staple in our house!
Absolutely delicious! I used jalapeño infused honey. It was savory sweet. Love love love!
Army wife! thanks for the advise. When I make it the first time it was good but not this good. With the sauce thicken and the brown sugar it was much better.
Flavor was decent but the dish was WAY too greasy and the wings come out soggy and meat falling off but not in a good way. The oil needs to be completely omitted. I think this would be better as a marinade. Won't make it again.
These turned out very nice but I cooked the chicken pieces in the oven until not pink anymore. I put the chicken on a plate and washed my glass baking dish. I returned the chicken to the dish and poured the sauce over the chicken. I think for some people who don't get caramelization that the juices from the chicken thin the sauce. I added a little butter, fresh grated ginger, hot flakes and a small amount of sesame oil. I like the flavoring but not overpowering. This recipe is a great base for chicken.
Chicken drumsticks were on sale this week and I had everything else on hand. This was really easy to put together and the baking time gave me plenty of time to get sides together, set the table, etc. while it was baking. When the family walked in the door they all remarked on how good it smelled. Everyone enjoyed this. In fact everyone started putting the extra sauce on their rice too! ( I served with seasoned brown rice and broccoli. )
Amazing! and so easy to make, I wouldn't add as much honey, but other than that it was delicious, and under an hour since I only had 4 chicken legs. :)
Only read one other review that happened to me. I followed the recipe to a "T", doubling the ingredients since I had 14 chicken legs. They ended up just "floating" in the sauce and while they were edible, certainly not up to the praise everyone else was giving.
