I got this recipe out of one of our local church cookbooks. This frosting is quick and easy to make. It makes a lot of frosting.


  1. Bring brown sugar, margarine, and milk to a boil and boil for 2 minutes.
  2. Cool for 30 minutes.
  3. Add confectioners sugar and beat until smooth.
  4. Spread on cake.
  5. This makes enough frosting for a large cake.

This is great. However, it does make a lot. Also, it does not "set" thick. This was used at our Cooking Club and everyone loved it.

YAY!! this icing was like the most flavourful i have ever tasted!! AND it was so easy! I only needed about a cup of icing though so i halved the recipe and it turned out awesome! the texture was perfect and it spread fairly well also. thanks a bunch!
