From my Grandma Jewel's recipe box. Goes great on Fresh Apple Cake.
- 1⁄2 cup butter
- 1⁄2 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons evaporated milk
- 1 cup dark brown sugar, firmly packed
- confectioners' sugar
- Put butter, salt, evaporated milk and brown sugar in small saucepan.
- Heat gently just to melt butter.
- Mix until sugar dissolves.
- Add enough sifted confectioner's sugar to make it of the consistency to spread.
- Spread on cake and enjoy.
