We really loved this! Very easy!! The market had a sale on granny smith's and we bought a big bag of them. This was such a good way to use those apples!! It's very creamy, and has a super caramel flavor. If you're a caramel fan like us, I highly recommend this recipe.
This was awesome! Super easy and incredibly yummy. Makes apples a lot more fun to eat!
YUMM!!! This was so VERY EASY! I had a gilr's night in party for a friend getting married and everyone raved about this dip! I had read all of the reviews and only nuked mine for 4 minutes. It was perfect and stayed quite smooth all evening. I refrigerated the leftovers and 3 days later nuked it again! THANKS for such a marvelous dip! We even dipped bananas in chocolate then dipped them in the caramel dip. What a TREAT!
This resulted in a very delicious dip. One thing I noticed was that it probably would have been good enough at four minutes, after six my dip was very thick. It was still very good, but I don't think the other two minutes was necessary, for me at least. I'm thinking the fact that different microwaves heat at different temperatures has a lot to do with it. Next time I make it, I'll be stopping at four minutes. The kids absolutely loved it, and I was pleased with how quick and easy it was to make.
I'm afraid this didn't turn out well at all for me. I followed the instructions, and nuked it for 6 minutes, stirring well every couple of minutes. Even after vigorous stirring, it didn't end up smooth, but somewhat 'gritty'. I even tried beating it with a mixer at the end, but it didn't help. Also, the melted margarine seemed to cling to the bowl, and wouldn't mix in properly. (I used 3/4 cup margarine.) I placed it in a tub with a lid, and refrigerated it overnight, and the next day it was hard. (Maybe the dip isn't supposed to be refrigerated?) I had to microwave it to soften it a little. The texture wasn't very smooth, but the dip tasted good.
