Very rich a little bit goes a long way! All my kids love these cookies.
- 1 cup flour
- 1 cup quick oats
- 3⁄4 cup brown sugar
- 3⁄4 cup margarine
- 1⁄2 teaspoon salt
- 1⁄4 teaspoon baking soda
- 50 caramels, unwrapped
- 5 tablespoons cream
- Mix all crust ingredients together and spread 1/2 in bottom of 9 by 13 pan.
- Bake 350 for 10 minutes.
- Melt caramels with cream and pour over baked crust.
- Sprinkle 6 oz semi sweet chocolate chips over caramel.
- Crumble remaining crust mixture over all and bake 10-15 minutes.
- Do not over bake!
These were good but the bottom crust baked out a tad on the dry side. I baked them on the second-lowest oven rack for 8 minutes on convection bake, you need a sweet tooth for these, they are rich! thanks for sharing hon!...Kitten:)
These were SO good... we made these to take to a friend's house tonight (forgot to take a picture) but they look and taste amazing. Yum! We'll make these again.
