Caramel Bananas

"A no bake recipe that's easy and quick to make. This recipe also makes a delicious pancake filling if you chop the bananas instead of halving them. Try stacking the pancakes between layers of bananas and sauce."

  1. I really enjoyed this, as did the kiddos, ages 5 yrs and 18 mo. I used just 2 bananas, since that's what I had, and left the sauce amounts the same to serve over sourdough pancakes. Really good. I did add spiced rum rather than the liqueur, and let come back to a boil to cook out the alcohol, then simmered. The lemon gives this a really bright taste that cuts thru the sweet pancake. As usual, I couldn't get my freak of a husband, who'd rather eat store brand cheap pancake "syrup" to try this, but I will definitely be making this again. Thanks for sharing.
