I concur with the suggestion to add some balsamic. I put a 50/50 combination of balsamic and EVOO into a jar with a pinch of salt and 1 tsp brown sugar. Shake well in the jar, and then drizzle on the salad. Delicious!!!
Excellent summer salad. I used fresh heirloom tomatoes. I used white balsamic vinegar and in my opinion, it should not be optional. It makes the salad very tangy and tasty. You really only need about 1 tbsp of olive oil. Loved the fresh taste. Thanx!
I love this salad. But instead of using a Balsamic Vinegar, I just added a few sliced Kalamati Olives. Yumm! Thanks for a great recipe.
Fantastic salad! One of my favorites. I added some garlic powder along with the salt and pepper which was great and of course I used the balsamic! Made for PAC Sprinig 2010.

So good! The balsamic really finishes the dish off, gives a lovely tang. This was the first time I'd made a Caprese salad and now I have no idea why as it's really easy and tastes amazing!
