Caprese Pasta Salad

ingredients
- 1⁄2 lb pasta (I used radiatore)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1⁄3 cup balsamic vinegar
- 3 roma tomatoes (diced)
- 3 sticks mozzarella string cheese (cubed)
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion flakes
- 1⁄2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1⁄2 teaspoon dried basil
- salt
- pepper
directions
- Boil pasta as directed on package.
- Put pasta in strainer and toss with cold water.
- Drain pasta and place in large bowl.
- Toss with balsamic vinegar to taste (I like it very tart but not everyone does).
- Toss with olive oil.
- Add garlic, onions, and basil and keep tossing.
- Gently toss in tomato and cheese.
- Add salt and pepper to taste.
- Chill and serve.
