  1. Fill one cup measure with cantaloupe.
  2. Pour milk over cantaloupe until cup is filled to the top.
  3. Pour milk and cantaloupe into blender.
  4. Add ice, sugar and cardamom.
  5. Blend until smooth and creamy; serve immediately.

I had this for breakfast this summer morning and loved it. Along with the cardamom I added 1/4 tsp of ginger. I enjoyed the light touch of spice which lingered on the tongue after the sweetness of the melon had passed. It's light, lovely and simple to make. Be sure to use a fully ripe melon and blend for a long time. Made for ZWT 8

Alligirl you get a gold star. This is hands down the best cantaloupe drink that I have had on this site and I have tried many terrific cantaloupe recipes. Wow is this good. Smooth, soft, silky, sutble, perfectly spiced and sweetened. I only made half a recipe, so of course went back an hour later and made another one. I used 5 cardamom pods that I ground fresh. (love my motar and pestle) The ground cardamom really compliments the cantaloupe beautifully. Thank you for sharing a recipe that I will make often.
