This is a recipe passed down from my mother. I make these everytime my DH's company has a cook-out and always get request for the recipe. You can double and triple this recipe without any problems. It also freezes well.
- 1 lb van camp's pork & beans (can)
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons ketchup
- 1 tablespoon molasses
- 6 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
- 1 small onion, chopped
- Preheat oven 350 degrees.
- Mix all ingredients together in an 1-quart baking dish.
- Bake for 45 minutes.
For me I usually buy a can of the flavored baked beans. Thanks to PAF2008 I came across this recipe form one of my babbies. My DH loved this~ He has already asked for me to make this instead of my buying the other stuff. My DH also cut up his hot dogs and put them in this for a one pot meal. Came out great of course. For me I am o.k. with beans and these have be one of my favorits that I have had. Thanks for posting this recipe for us to try.
