  1. I used this recipe for an idea that required a cookie base which wouldn't be eaten so I didn't add the chocolates. I was bringing a cookie sheet as part of a bridal gift and decided to rename this the Cuban Cookie and topped this dough with $34 in dimes. The couple are getting married in Cuba in Jan 2012!! I always aim for different, unique and homemade gift ideas

  2. I actually made this a friend's grandson who waisted no time at all devouring this huge cookie, I baked mine on a 12-inch round pizza pan that I lined with foil and greased generously with recipe#78579, thanks for sharing this great treat Sharlene!...Kitten

I live in the San Francisco area and love it here. I discovered Recipezaar (then Food.com..Genius Kitchen) in 2001 and have been so happy to have my favorite recipes stored safely here. I am mother to 7 and grandmother to 7. I love to knit, smock, sew, etc., but my favorite hobby of the moment is traditional rug hooking. This is a sample of what I do.? It's called "November".? I dyed most of the wool myself. It is made from wool flannel, cut into strips a little less than 1/4" and then worked into a linen backing. This is my 3rd rug.
