Simple candied yams


  1. Drain 1/2 of the juice from the can of sweet potatoes. Place in a casserole dish. Dot with butter. Mix brown sugar and cinnamon together and sprinkle on top. Add cover top with marshmallows. Cover loosely with foil and bake for 20-25 minutes at 325°F.

Simple and delicious, all wrapped up in one of my all-time favorite side dishes. I drained the can completely and chose not to use the water as directed. (it makes its own candied syrup). I added a dash of nutmeg and vanilla and it came out great! Thanks for sharing!
