I've never had anything like this and thought I would try it out on a camping trip this summer. They were very easy to put together, but the taste could be improved upon with some additional ingredients. Perhaps ice cream, marshmallows, nuts, peanut butter, or whatever sounds like a nice accompaniment.
These were yummy. Was invited to a pot luck, and was told to bring a snack to throw on the grill. And I brought these...no one complained...everyone ate more than their fair share (which was two each). I made a total of 40 for a crowd of 15, and they were ALL gone by the end of the night. Thank you for a wonderful recipe, which I followed to the T.
I have a recipe very similiar to this, but you also add peanut butter insode (and cook in the oven). These are great though!
I've made something like this growing up in girl scouts, we called them 'bannana boats' and stuffed them with marshmellows as well- they are also great stuffed with peanut butter!
I picked 5 campfire recipes for this 4th july island camping trip..I used peanut butter chocolate swirl chips..And when nicly melted over the campfire I added a dollop of coolwhip and chopped pecans..A nice treat camping..Everyone liked this dessert and not overly sweet either...I will make this again..Thank U for the recipe..
yum! these bring me back to girl scouts....i love this recipe. the bananas are really good with peanut butter, too.
tastes yummy, we have a similar recipe that calls for mini marshmallows with the chocolate chips.
