- 453.59 g rotini pasta (or similar shaped pasta)
- 907.18 g lean ground beef
- 236.59 ml coarsely chopped onion
- 709.77 ml diced tomatoes (about 5-6 small tomatoes)
- 396.89 g tomato sauce
- 354.88 ml milk
- 157.80 ml light mayonnaise
- 29.58 ml ketchup
- 29.58-44.37 ml sweet pickle relish
- 7.39-9.85 ml mustard
- 3.69-4.92 ml pepper
- 2.46 ml salt
- 3.69 ml garlic powder
- 9.85 ml oregano
- 709.77 ml shredded cheddar cheese, DIVIDED (or shredded American cheese, divided)
directions
- Prepare pasta according ton package directions; drain. Do NOT rinse.
- While pasta is cooking, in a large skillet, brown ground beef with onion. Drain fat.
- Return beef and onion mixture to hot skillet. Over low-med heat, stir in tomatoes, tomato sauce, milk, mayo, ketchup, relish, mustard, pepper, salt, garlic powder, oregano and 2 1/2 cups cheese. Stir and cook until cheese is melted. Add hot cooked pasta and gently mix together.

At this point either:
- a) sprinkle with remaining 1/2 cup cheese; heat through and serve. OR.
- b) Pour into a 13" x 9" or larger baking dish, sprinkle with remaining 1/2 cup cheese ans bake at 350 for 20-25 minutes.

This recipe deserves more than 5 stars! My BF marks lower than most people and he gave it 6! We couldn't get sweet pickle relish in the UK so I finely diced some gherkins. Luckily, we found American mustard as English mustard wouldn't taste the same. Made the rest exactly as written. Thanks for a wonderful treat, and it's much easier on my diet than a proper California cheeseburger!
