Should you be short on cachaca for Caipirinhas, try the vodka version!

Ingredients Nutrition

  • 12 lime, sliced
  • 2 teaspoons sugar (or to taste)
  • 40 ml vodka
  • crushed ice

  1. Place the lime wedges on the bottom of an old fashioned glass and add sugar.
  2. Crush sugar into the lime pulp with the end of a wooden spoon.
  3. Fill glass with crushed ice.
  4. Pour in vodka, stir.
  5. Serve with a straw: easier to drink& you can keep stirring and mushing the limes!

Wow! Potent! This is a sipper drink, and once some of the ice melted, it turned out to be delicious. Thanks for sharing!

It was very yummy. I like caipirinhas with cachaca and this one is also great when we only have vodka. Thanks stormylee :) Made for PAC spring 2011

I didn't have cachaca, so I decided to try a caipiroska. I'm glad I did! I used 50 mL of citrus vodka, the juice of one lime, and a tablespoon of brown sugar. Fantastic!
