  • Add bacon to sauce pan and cook on medium low heat until crispy.
  • Add onion and cook until translucent.
  • Add Celary and continue cooking until soft.
  • Add clam juice and potatoes.
  • cover and cook until potatoes are tender, stiring occasionally
  • Add clams, clam base, old bay, cream, and milk
  • Stir together.
  • Cook for about 30-45 minutes.
  • Stir occasionally.
  • whisk in instant mashed potatoes as needed for thickening.
  • adjust seasoning with salt & pepper as needed.
