This was REALLY GOOD. REALLLLLY. MAde this tonight, and drank it warm even though it is august! Has a wonderful complex flavor. I did use almond extract instead of vanilla. BF loved it too! And we DID include the whiskey :-) I think rum might taste good in it too, if you're out of whiskey. Thanks for an awesome recipe--I'm sure we'll use it again and again especially as fall comes!

My husband and I just got back from a cross-country skiing trip. I made this drink every night while we were there. Very, very delicious with a smooth creamy mocha flavor. I used bourbon whiskey which was yummy but I agree that rum would probably be good as well. We built a fire in our cabin and this is how we finished off the day. Thanks Nurse Di.

Very yummy! I used soy milk since I don't care for cow's milk and didn't have any half and half on hand. Didn't add the whiskey (on my way to church) but it was still really good!
Thanks for sharing!

Absolutely Awesome! Tastes just like the mocha's I buy at coffee houses. Put some whipped cream on top, and perfecto!

Absolutely the best mocha ever. This is definately a keeper. I didn't use the whiskey and I added a little extra chocolate because that's the way I like it.

Mmmmmmmm! This is a very smooth & relaxing drink. Just what I needed to take the stress out of a busy afternoon. I made this with my espresso machine, steaming the 2 %milk (substituting for the half and half) with the frother. I did not add any whiskey, but I can't see this tasting any better than it is right now. Delicious!

My DH loves Starbucks and he insisted I make this. Of course I made the coffee a little too strong so I had to add a little milk and he also requested extra chocolate. He loves it!

I had a hankering for an iced mocha latte down here in Florida and found this recipe to try. I prepared an envelope of mocha decaf capuccino according to the directions, then followed the recipe, cutting ingredients in half. This tasted wonderful and is going in my "keeper" file. Can't wait to share this with my Mom when she visits over the winter :<)

Made this yesterday morning, yum yum. I live in a rural area where I can't just run down to the coffee house so this is great, to be able to make one as good at home. Only thing, I will probably try to make with low fat half and half to save some calories. Going to go make some now I think. THANKS!

DELICIOUS!! I used fat-free half & half and sugar-free choc syrup. Also, I didn't feel like messing with the stove, so I microwaved my half-half, then dissolved the sugar, other ingrediants, and stirred it into individual mugs of coffee (about half coffee & half chocolate mixture). This was DIVINE! I can't wait to try it frozen or iced as well! THANK YOU!

This is SOOOOOOO wonderful! I feel like I need to pay you for this recipe because it will save me so much money from getting a mocha at one of my local coffee shops. My husband and I really love this and he has asked for it 3 days in a row since I found the recipe. This is a keeper and I know it will come in handy when we have coffee lovin company at our house. I didn't have half and half so I substituded 1/2 cup of heavy cream with a cup of 2% milk and it was wonderful. I think I may add a cinnamon stick next time for a mexi-mocha. The first time I made this I used chocolate chips and melted them in the warmed milk mixture, but it actually works and tastes much better with the chocolate syrup!

This is a recipe that I would classify as a guilty pleasure. I could easily get addicted to these. Has the rich smooth creamy flavor of mocha and the whiskey makes you tingly all over. Simply the best. Thanks!!
