From The Plaza Hotel in New York City, simple and special -- a hot punch for the winter and the holidays --
- 4 1⁄2 cups hot coffee
- 4 1⁄2 cups hot cocoa
- 1 cup sweetened whipped cream (to garnish)
- Combine coffee and cocoa in a chafing dish. Heat, but do not boil.
- Ladle into coffee cups or mugs and top with whipped cream.
- Coffee and chocolate together!
This is a very smooth tasting drink. Instead of using whipped topping I just frothed some milk to add to the top. I adjusted this recipe to make 2 servings and it worked fine. Personally I wished I could taste the coffee a bit more so I may adjust the ratios just a tad but that is just coming from a coffee-holic! :) Made for the Snow Queen Comfort Cafe Jan 2010.
