Another great recipe from Kittencal. One of the best cabbage au gratin recipes that I've tried. Made exactly as callled for. No need to change anything.

Very good. I will make again for sure. It was rather easy to put together especially if you buy everything shredded.

This is very good! Followed the recipe exactly and was very pleased with the result. My husband really enjoyed it, he wants me to make fried pancakes out of some today and serve with sour cream. For dinner I served this with a pork loin roast. Thank's for yet another winning recipe Kittencal!

Made this for my Czech in-laws. It was actually the highlight of the meal I served. I had to give the recipe and send some home with them! The cheese is what makes this dish so great.

I prepared this recipe as stated using 1 teaspoon seasoned salt. This was good, but it really needed a bit more salt which I didn't realize until it was done. Overall a nice dish that was easy to prepare.

i think this is probably one of the best cabbage casseroles i have ever made,,,the test was that i was going to serve this recipe to a family of philippine nationals who had never eaten much western food,,,a tought crowd one might say. It was easy to make and it came out wonderful,,,,they loved it, never had anything like it but loved it...

Wow, fantastic recipe, not to mention healthy. I didn't saute the cabbage/carrot/onion. I just layer them, uncooked, in pan, then topped with half the amount of cheese. Then add the remaining veg mixture. Sprinkle remaining cheese before pouring the liquid mixture. I was skeptical that cabbage might not get cooked, but it did and it is just tastey! I use 1 head cabbage, 3 eggs, 2 c milk (quite liquidy, maybe use 1 1/2c next time) placed in 9x13 pyrex dish

I wasn't sure how big a "med-size" frying pan was so I used the middle sized on of the 3 I own. It worked okay, but next time I'll use the big one because it turned out a little difficult to saute so much veggies at once without flipping them out of the pan. I somehow missed the end of step 3 where I was supposed to transfer the veggies to a baking dish (think I got side-tracked by the other dish I was making), but maybe that could be it's own sentence so it stands out a bit more in the directions. So I ended up pouring the egg/cheese mixture over the veggies while they were still in the frying pan, got to the next step and realized that the veggies should have already gone into the baking dish and that "cheeses" in step 4 must have been a typo (I added both kinds of cheese in that step because it used the plural), so I ended up with everything just kind of mixed together in the casserole dish with just the parsley on top. I used fresh Italian parsley, 1 1/2 tsp seasoning salt, and 3/4 tsp pepper. DH (who really hates cabbage) thought it was very tasty/really good, once you got beyond the smell. Lil' sis thought it was pretty descent which seems to be pretty high praise coming from her; she did say that she usually doesn't like cabbage much, but didn't really indicate that this recipe had changed her mind much. I thought it was pretty good too, but I'm the one who likes cabbage. We've had a couple of ways that we liked better, but this does seem to be one more way that my cabbage hating family will eat cabbage. Thanks.

A terrific cabbage recipe! I loved the addition of the shredded carrots. I used the greater amount of Swiss cheese listed (of course;). The top gets wonderfully bubbly and cheesey. I'll be repeating this one; thanx for posting!

DELICIOUS! I made this because DH loves cabbage, I'm not normally a big fan of it. But I'm a convert, this was so good, thank you for sharing. Made this a half recipe, cooked for the same amount of time, it was perfection.
