My husband usually love this kind of dish, and I was excited to try something new and easy, but this was not to our liking. It was very bland and greasy. I think if I were to make something like this again, I would brown the sausage slices first to drain off some of that fat... Maybe with a few tweeks we could make something like this work, but as the recipe stands, it just doesn't work for my family.

Very good the only change I will make is to add another head of cabbage. It was very soupy but tasted great!!

I really wanted to like this. The flavor of the sausage is yummy in it, but I just didn't care for the veggies. The tomatoes overpowered the cabbage, and they just combined to leave a bad taste in my mouth. My ods loved it, though, which really surprised me. He even asked for seconds of the veggies.

Thank you for this recipe!! My family enjoyed it. I spiced it up some by adding carrots, fresh parsley, garlic powder and black pepper. The smell was wonderful to come home to! This will probably become a family favorite.

This was just ok for me. My DH and oldest DD liked it, but it was just too bland for me. I followed the receipe except for the cheese soup, which I didn't have. I stirred in about 2 cups of shredded cheddar during the last 30 minutes of cooking. I'm not sure that small change would have made too much of a diffference but it's hard to tell. If I need to use up another head of cabbage I might make this again but will add something to kick it up a notch.

What a great combination! I used reduced-fat kielbasa. If I used the Italian sausage, I definitely would have cooked and drained it first. I added an extra can of cheese soup.... just to make it even cheesier! Loved it and would make this again. Thanx for another great recipe!

Very good and easy! I was looking for something to do with 1/2 head of cabbage and picked this yummy dish and was glad I did. The only change I made was using two beef bouillion cubes and 1 cup water. This was a nice change for a filling dinner accompanied with some french bread, although I think it would be wonderful over noodles. Thanks for sharing!

Yummy! I needed a crockpot recipe to make with things I had on hand. I am sure glad I chose this one. Easy to prepare, smells great while cooking, and tastes fabulous. It may be a little bland for some, but for my palate, it was perfect! I have enough leftovers for dinner tonight! Thanks Lorac

I really, really wanted to be wild and crazy about this but I wasn't. I added garlic and it was still bland. The flavor improved a little the next day. I think this has ALOT of potentional. Firstly it needs more meat, I would double it and buy the hot italian for more flavor. Mine was also fairly runny, I cooked it for 10 hours in the crockpot so that really surprised me. I would also add more spices next time. I think this could be really really good, it was just FAR to bland for our tastes.

Carol, this is a wonderful dish. We surely did enjoy it!! :-) The sauce was creamy and smooth, and I especially loved the tomatoes with the dish. I didn't have plain cheddar cheese soup, so I added the new Southwest Style Pepper Jack Cheese soup, and I used a hot kielbassa sausage. I have to tell 'ya, it was really, really good. This is definately a keeper for me! We couldn't stop eating this one!!
