I was a bit skeptical at first but followed the recipe to the letter. It was an absolute replica of the CPK soup that my family loves so much. I also increased the onion to 1/2 of a medium onion and added extra white corn when it was done. Delicious!
This is phenomenal. I add two seasoned (with cumin and chili powder) cut up chicken breasts and a can of black beans when I add the second portion of corn just to make it more of a meal. I also fry up some tortilla strips to put on the top. Yum!
Awesome..tasted just like CPK's. I didn't add the water and the consistency was excellent. I would also add a bit less chicken stock.
Very delicious tortilla soup. I substituted the chicken stock for vegetable broth.
I loved this soup! I did add much more onion and jal's...about a 1/3 of an onion and 1/4 cup of jal's. Delicious and turns out great every time :)
I liked this soup but would like it much more with some diced chicken in it. This was the first time I've fired corn tortillas, it worked great. The only thing I did not do was to make 1/2 of the soup into a course puree. Made during * Zaar World Tour 5* 2009 game for team *Genies of Gourmet*

Delicious combination of flavors in this soup. I've never tried the CA Kitchen version, so I don't know how it compares, but who cares? I made it exactly as written, and wouldn't change a thing. I'm adding it to my favorite soups cookbook. Thanks, Chia. Another winner for PAC Fall 2007.
