Made for Spring PAC 2013 and these were delicious and rich. I followed the instructions but next time I might use some yogurt for the sour cream or cut back on both the sour cream and cream cheese but with your C T's Zucchini Casserole#244236 and mashed garlic potatoes this dinner was a hit and one I will make again. Thank you for posting.
These might not be Swedish Meatballs but they are CT's Swedish Meatballs. Ever since I started buying Costco frozen meatballs (I think they call them Italian) I don't make mine from scratch very much anymore and look for recipes like this. I liked the change with the beef gravy ingredient. I make gravy from scratch & freeze into cubes till I need some. We don't like real creamy so I cut the sauce in 1/2, increased the meatballs 4 oz & used 5 oz egg noodles at the end & it was perfect for us. I like using yogurt vs sour cream so I tryed adding in the last 30-60 min of cooking & it seemed to work fine (no seperation). Quick, easy & tasty recipe, thanks for sharing.
This was good, but it really didn't taste like Swedish meatballs to us. I have never known swedish meatballs to be this creamy and cheesy tasting. If I make this one again, I will probably take out some of the sour cream and cream cheese. Thanks for sharing.
I just made this last night and it was so good!!! I actually made it on the stove top instead of in the crockpot by making the gravy first, then adding the meatballs. This recipe exceeded my expectations by far I'm getting hungry just thinking about it!!!Thanks!!
I made this for my daughter's graduation party. Everyone went crazy over them and I have had two requests for the recipe. I did add water as suggested. Thanks for a great recipe@
This was very rich, even for me...so I added about 2/3 C water. We had it with egg noodles, and it is now a family favorite...good enough for a dinner club choice!!
