This is a very popular and requested restaurant dish in Tampico, Mexico.
- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 2 tablespoons finely chopped onions
- 2 lbs cooked shelled crab, shredded
- 1 1⁄4 cups manchego cheese or 1 1⁄4 cups gouda cheese, grated
- 1⁄2 cup cream cheese
- 1⁄2 cup dry white wine
- salt, to taste
- pepper (optional)
- In melted butter, sautee onion until transparent.
- Add rest of the ingredients and cook until cheeses melt.
- Season to taste.
