By request This recipe is from Prep time is just an estimate, and is actually the cook time you have to watch it like a hawk. Be careful pouring the cream into the sugar. Don't splash. That hot sugar syrup can give you a nasty burn.


  1. Combine the sugar and water in a medium saucepan.
  2. Cook over high heat until the mixture is a light golden brown in color.
  3. Remove from heat.
  4. Add the cream and stir until smooth.
  5. Add the butter 1 tablespoon at a time.
  6. Blend well.
  7. Can be reheated.

I made this to go with recipe #68117 . Very good altho it wasn't as thick as I'd hoped for, but that's ok 'cause we didn't let it go to waste. ;)
