Yummy, easy! I added some salted peanuts and that was really good. I did have a problem getting them small enough but that's clearly operator error. They are super rich!

I've seen other versions that call for peanuts or marshmallows. This is the way I've always made them. Can't get any easier than this to make a sweet treat!

I've been making haystacks with my mom every Christmas since I was a little girl. They have always been a family favorite. We always use peanuts instead of peanut butter - can't wait to try this version! Thanks :)

Delicious and so simple! Great if you are a peanut butter fan.

Outstanding indeed. The amount of peanut butter is perfect-other recipes call for waaaaaaaay too much. Guests loved it. Will make again for sure (even just for myself)

Very delish with a nice blend of sweetness. I liked it that there wasn't a lot of peanut butter in the recipe (since my daughter is not a pb fan). These will make a nice treat in her lunch box. Thanks Loves2Teach for posting. Roxygirl

I can't stand butterscotch in any other form but I love these. A girl at work makes them all the time and they go fast. She adds salted cashew pieces to hers. I'm gonna have to break down and make my own stash for the house.:)

It had been years, ever since the 60`or 70`s, since I tasted these...and your recipe is wonderful, and just like I remember them. Fantastic! Thank you for posting!

I've made these for years. They are so yummy. Kids especially love them. You can also add peanuts to the ingredients.
