Note: This recipe is for a 1-quart machine. Double or triple ingredients if needed for your machine. I have not made this recipe.
- In saucepan, combine sugar and nonsweetened cocoa; add milk and heat.
- Stir until sugar dissolves.
- Beat smooth buttermilk and vanilla.
- Combine with chocolate milk.
- Chill and stir freeze.
I LOVED this! Incredibly rich mouth feel with full deep chocolate flavor. Chocolate gelato, DELICIOUS! 5 stars from me b/c it totally fooled my mouth & taste buds. DH gave it a 3 b/c he did not like the "tang" he detected. Rich full balanced flavor. Nice texture after freezing for an hour after churning. Will make again but double or triple the recipe next time.
