Made the brownies today and they are similar to the Texas Sheet cake recipe. The recipe was easy to prepare and tasty. Next time I will increase the amount of frosting as it was a bit skimpy. Also, the frosting was a bit dry and I had to add some extra buttermilk to smooth it out. I made half a batch, so perhaps that was the problem.

Super Yum! I could not stop eating these brownies once they were made. Rich and cakelike, the chocolate of the brownie and the chocolate of the icing were the perfect combination. I did not add pecans, as my 17 year old does not like them, but that could have only added to the delish factor. Don't be surprised by the thinner cake-like batter. Very simple to make. This will be a well-used recipe at my house.

Moist and cakelike. They remind me a Texas Sheet Cake. The flavor is INCREDIBLE. A new family favorite. Thanks!

WOW! I had some leftover buttermilk and wanted to find something to do with it...and I am glad I found this recipe. These brownies are sooo good. They were moist and fluffy. Not a dense fudgy brownie but the best cake-like brownie ever. Thanks for posting these are great!
