Needed. buttermilk for pancakes decided to give this a try. After reading other reviews I went with 3 teaspoons of vinager and it worked out great. No problems, since I only use buttermilk for cooking sure hate to buy a carton as i always end up throwing most of it away. Not sure if I should use the full 3 TABLESPOONS, but decreasing it worked good for me. Made for "Help a Naked Recipe Game"

I should have read the reviews prior to using this recipe to make pancakes. The amount of vinegar needs to be decreased. The pancakes (#47669) batter smelled like vinegar and the pancakes had a tanginess to them. Fortunately, the syrup and preserves were able to mask the taste.

Maybe it's supposed to be 3 tsp which would equal one Tbsp? I am going to see how it is with 1 TBSP this time & will adjust it next time, if need be. I wish I had found this sooner. I was in shock when I saw how much a quart of buttermilk costs! Thanks for the recipe :)
