These are a great addition to the butter tart family. We often us a margarine /butter combo or just margarine. Then we call them "margarine tarts". They disappear just as fast.
- 4 eggs
- 3 cups brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 cup butter
- 4 tablespoons vinegar
- 1⁄2 cup raisins or 1⁄2 cup currants
- prepared butter prepared tart shells
- Beat eggs well. Stir in sugar and vanilla. Then add butter and vinegar, stir. Then add rasins or currants (if desired). After stirring it all up fill tart shells 2/3 full. Bake tarts until light brown. Then enjoy.
