- Cream butter and sugar. Scrape bowl down. Add flour, baking powder and salt. Mix until soft dough forms.
- Press dough into a greased 10x15x1-inch jelly roll pan. Gently beat egg whites with fork until foamy. Glaze dough with egg whites as needed to lightly cover. Sprinkle chopped nuts over egg whites.
- Bake 375 for 20 minutes. Cut into bars while warm, 1 1/2 x 3 inches in size.
