  1. Cream butter and sugar. Scrape bowl down. Add flour, baking powder and salt. Mix until soft dough forms.
  2. Press dough into a greased 10x15x1-inch jelly roll pan. Gently beat egg whites with fork until foamy. Glaze dough with egg whites as needed to lightly cover. Sprinkle chopped nuts over egg whites.
  3. Bake 375 for 20 minutes. Cut into bars while warm, 1 1/2 x 3 inches in size.
