Burger Sauce

There are several restaurants across the country who have had a secret sauce: Bob's, Big Boy, Goff's, McDonalds, etc., and they are all basically a variation of 1000 Island Dressing. Somehow the copycat recipes for these restaurants don't really work for me, plus I wanted something kids would love and not refuse to eat because of what's in it. The trick, I guess, is not to have anything they can see to be picky about. And this sauce is just great on a wedge of lettuce.

Ingredients:

Serves: 8

Yield: 1.25 cups

• 1 cup mayonnaise
• 1/4 cup chili sauce (Heinz)
• 1/2 tablespoon sliced manzanilla olives
• 1 teaspoon sweet relish
• 3 scallions, chopped, white and some green parts
• 1 dash Worcestershire sauce
• 1 dash salt
• 1 dash pepper
• milk

Optional

• Tabasco sauce

Directions:

1. Place everything in a blender. If it's difficult to blend, add a bit of milk. Blend until smooth. Best if refrigerated for a half day or so.
