Sorry I haven't reviewed before now. I've been making this every other weekend since football season started, at the request of my men. We all love it! The first time I made it exactly as written, and it's very good. Since then, I've adjusted it for personal preference and ease. I omit the celery (hate it) and instead of heating up the chicken with the sauce, I mix canned shredded chicken meat with the sauce and let it chill for an hour in the fridge, mix with the other ingredients, and bake as directed.

WOW! This was so good! I think this will be my new 'go to' dip, when I need to bring a dish. Made it exactly as described, and it turned out perfectly. Brought it to a friends, and it was inhaled! Next time, might have to make a double batch (mmm, leftovers)! Can't wait to try it using the blue cheese dressing.

I've always enjoyed this recipe- I like this version although I will say I skipped the celery because I do not like it. I substituted Fat Free cream cheese and there was no noticeable difference in taste or texture. I figure, save a few calories when I can!

This is a great recipe. We made this for the game today since I had some chicken leftovers and it was really good. I served it with tortilla chips and Ritz crackers. Thank you for sharing this good dip.

I LOVE this recipe b/c the veggies are already in it (I add carrots to the celery). I always use light cream cheese and light ranch dressing and we still love it. I also usually skip the cheese on top as it kind of hardens as it cools and gets in the way of dipping your chip into it. For the red hot sauce, I use buffalo hot wing sauce. I share this recipe as often as I make it!

Wow this was fabulous! I made an 8X8 pan for a small party, and there was just enough left over for 2 people to enjoy the next night. WOW! I think next time I'd put more hot sauce, more celery {love the crunch!}, and make a bigger pan. This was even better the next day warmed up on pieces of french bread!

This wasn't eaten so much as it was INHALED. I omitted the celery and used blue cheese dressing (the refridgerated kind) instead of the ranch dressing. Definitely a new favorite-- can't wait to have a reason to make it again!

This was great. I used blue cheese dressing instead of ranch and it was better than I think the ranch would have been, but I have an unnatural love for blue cheese. I think I would have even liked some blue cheese crumbles inside. This will sure to be a regular at my parties or even just because.

4.5 stars, actually, according to the men of the house. :) Tasty and easy...I used less celery for personal preference but otherwise followed exactly. Thank you; we will definitely make this again! Consumed during the Penn State - LSU game.

Great dip! Only complaint was that it was very salty by the time we added enough hot sauce (prob closer to 3/4 cup) to our liking but that didn't stop us from licking the plate clean. Thank you for posting!

Great! Loved it. So easy too. Next time I'll mix the cheese up with the dip and just sprinkle a little over the top to prevent it from crusting over.

I've made this a couple of times & forgot to submit my 2 cents worth. The only comment that I can add to the other reviews is that this dip freezes well. Thanx for posting!

Gym or no gym, this is tasty! And so easy. I doubled the recipe so I had enough to fill a 9x13 dish. I made this the day ahead of my Jazzercise class Christmas party and refrigerated overnight. In the morning, I baked it up and put it into one of those Pyrex hot/cold keepers. After class, it was still nice & warm. I served this with taco chips and you guessed it - I am now printing out a stack of copies to take to tomorrow's class - everyone wanted the recipe. Except for doubling, I made the recipe exactly as posted. Yum! Thanks, Joy!!!

Perfect Game Day appetizer. Didn't change thing except added extra hot sauce and used canned chicken to cut time. Thanks for sharing.

I used Red Hot to our liking, 1 cup or more of finely chopped celery, and maybe 1/4 cup of ranch along with the cream cheese and two big cans of chicken all mixed in a pot on the stove. Once everything was blended and heated through nicely, I mixed in a little shredded cheddar, not a lot. Served with veggies/crackers/tortilla chips. Heated on the stove, I had no separation and no excess grease. Will make again! Decided crackers and veggies were best, the salty tortilla chips added too much salt to the overall flavor.

This is a very tasty yet very easy recipe. I made this to bring to a church gathering and while I heard a few complaints of "Too spicy!", all in all, it was enjoyed. However, my true method of measuring the worth of a recipe is my husband. He took the leftovers to work and has asked me to make it again. That's good enough for me!

This is great stuff. I boil 2 chicken thighs and chop into big chunks and use trappys hot sauce. I add a few large handfulls of monterey jack shredded cheese, or any mexican blend of shredded cheese. It is always a hit at parties and the kids love it.
