What a treat! The subtle orange flavor and the addition of brown sugar make it deliciously different. I used English toasting bread and fat-free half and half, and the result was a delightful breakfast!
Well I finally decided to try out Dan's Aunt Fran's recipe. They were so good. Since I was the only one eating them, I only made 4. Boy did I pig out. Thanks for sharing them with us. MOM
This was good, but we found it to be alittle on the dry side and kind of bland. I used english muffin toasting bread and half and half instead of heavy cream. I'm sorry, but I would not make this again.
This was excellent! We all loved the orange-cinnamon mix and the different texture the english muffins gave it. I couldn't find the bread either but the muffins worked out great. I wasn't sure if it was going to need syrup or not but one taste and I knew this recipe stands on its own! Thanks Kari (and Fran and Dennis!)
Kudos to you Kari!!! Thanks for the wonderful breakfast my DH and I had this morning. I followed your recipe exactly as you wrote it, using 8 slices of English Muffin bread. I baked it for 40 minutes and it turned out just perfect. If my DH wants this every Saturday morning.....you'll be in big trouble!!! I try not to spoil him too much!!! You created a super tasting recipe and we thank you for sharing with us.
