Budgeted Tuna Salad Sandwich

"Well, we all don't have that much time or that much money, so, this will have to do! A great quick sandwich that I have eaten... a lot. I suggest putting the extra tuna mix into your fridge."

  1. This was a good basic recipe but it needed a lot more mayo for us. I didn't measure the mayo after the 4 tablespoons that the recipe called for it, I just spooned it in. I also used onion powder instead of onion salt as I don't buy onion salt.

  2. Yum! I just gobbled down this Tuna sandwich and my tummy is very happy. I used flavoured tuna (Tomato & Olive) and Soya Mayonnaise but otherwise I kept to the recipe. It made a quick and tasty lunch. Thank you Kitchen Witch Myrkr

  3. An extremely tasty tuna salad sandwich recipe - we loved these! I used the celery salt and the onion salt as listed - but I think it would have been nice for a little green onion to have been added! However, these were Budget filling sandwiches, and made very tasty with the flavoured salts. I did not toast these, but made them for our picnic lunch yesterday; I left some filling to make a sandwich today, when I took the photos. I used homemade oat bread and mixed salad leaves. Made for the Soup, Salad, Starter and Sandwich Photo Tag event in the photo forum - thanks! FT:-)
