Made this one pretty much as written since I'm ALWAYS willing to add nuts & dried fruit (especially raisins &/or cranberries) just before I eat it! It's so easy to make this great-tasting cereal! However, since we do like sweets, I did take the hint from JoyfulCooking & added a 1/4 cup of brown sugar (then didn't add anymore when we actually put it in a bowl to eat)! I had only quick oats and I check each 5 minutes in case it would burn. For us, that's sweet enough. No need to add more sweet. I omitted the salt. After I made them and they were cold, my son wanted a bowl with milk. He liked them. Thanks Puppitypup :) Made for PRMR tag game
My husband and I both thought this was good but not quite sweet enough for our taste. I added about a third of a cup of brown sugar the second time around and it was much improved.
