This is a delicious cabbage and potato dish!

Directions

  1. Mash the potatoes.
  2. Add the greens and onion.
  3. Mix together and form into patties by hand.
  4. Fry over medium-low heat until golden brown on the bottom.

Before getting on with my review, I want to say " I'm very pleased to be the first one to rate this recipe. " :) I needed to find a way to use "re-purpose " some leftover mashed potatoes and cabbage and thought of Bubble and Squeak. So, I did a search and came across this recipe,and decided to try it. Since my SO isn't too fond of onions, the were finely diced before adding.And I did season them a bit with salt, pepper, and a small amount of garlic powder. There wasn't any mention of what to fry the patties in, so a small amount of bacon grease and margarine was used. I did have some trouble with the patties holding their shape, so a bit of flour was used to coat them before frying. Even though I had seasoned the patties, we both thought that they needed "something extra ". Thanks for posting and, " Keep Smiling :) "
