My 11 yr. old loves onions, so I decided to give this a try. He also is very picky about what he eats. Well, he loved this! It turned out so nice and full of flavor, and of course I had to have a bit or two myself. He has already requested this for Superbowl Sunday! Next time I will have to try it in the microwave, but he wanted the first time done in the oven. Thanks for posting.

This was a real hit at my dinner table tonight. We're doing Weight Watcher's so the butter wasn't happening. I doused the bouillon (granules - I didn't have cubes)with a couple of good shakes of Woo, sprinkled on some Butter Buds, sprayed the outside with FF margarine & baked for 45 minutes. The flavor was mild, almost nutty, & the texture was a bit crunchy - the perfect almost-fat-free side dish! Thanks for sharing your recipe.

Very easy, very tasty. I baked my onion for 45 minutes and it was still crunchy, just the way I like them. The only thing I would do differently is to loosen the layers a bit (roll the onion on its side) and try to get some of the beef bouillon cube to fall between the layers so the flavor spreads more throughout the onion. It was delicious the way ti was too Thanks Bubba & CharlotteJ for posting this recipe
