Ingredients Nutrition

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 34 cup melted butter
  • 3 cups flour
  • 23 ounce yeast
  • 12 tablespoons milk, divided
  • 3 egg yolks
  • 1 pinch salt

Directions

  1. Dissolve the yeast in 6 tablespoons of milk and let develop for 10 minutes. Stir in the flour and let rise at warm temperature, keeping away from drafts, until double.
  2. Add the butter, sugar, egg yolks, salt and remaining milk Mix thoroughly, cover, and rest in refrigerator overnight.
  3. When ready, use ladle and pour into waffle iron, cooking until golden brown.
