    Ingredients:

    Directions:

      Blanch the Brussels sprouts for 2 or 3 minutes, in boiling water with some salt, and a bit of fresh garlic.
    2. 2
      Remove, and drain on paper.
    3. 3
      Place them on a cookie sheet, and place a thin slice of cheddar, or gouda cheese on top of each. Line the cookie sheet with aluminum foil, if you wish."

      Place them in the oven, under the broiler, until the cheese melts, and bubbles.

      Remove, and serve.

      Enjoy.

      The taste is great!! I would recommend serving straight from the pan. Transferring to a bowl is not the best idea! Thanks, John for making my DSF remember his childhood!

      I modified this a bit due to what I had in the fridge. I used 1 lb bag of frozen brussel sprouts and a 1 lb bag of pearl onions. Instead of bacon I used aboout 4 inches of abruzze sausage and instead of cheddar I used a medium sharp italian grating cheese. This came out extreamly flavorful. It's a keeper.
