I made this for Thanksgiving last year and it was the only dish that was finished by the middle of the meal. My whole family LOVED it... esp. the children. I do not like to change recipes but I admit to using half and half in place of the cream and it works.
I certainly don't have to learn to love brussels sprouts (because I love them already), but I always love to find different ways to make them. This recipe did not disappoint. I made this as written, only adding some garlic. I loved the sharp cheddar cheese. I took your advice from the recipe intro and halved the breadcrumbs and that was perfect. I may use swiss cheese next time. Thanx for posting this!
