Directions

  1. Heat a char grill.
  2. Brush bread with oil and grill on both sides until browned.
  3. Rub bread with the cut side of the garlic.
  4. Combine tomatoes, onion, basil and olive oil.
  5. Season.
  6. Top 6 slices of the bread with the mixture.
  7. Slice each asparagus spear into thirds.
  8. Top remaining bread with the asparagus and top with parmesan shavings.
  9. Drizzle with some extra virgin olive oil and season with cracked pepper.
