  1. In bowl, combine chopped tomatoes, garlic and red onion. Drizzle olive oil over. Salt and pepper to taste. Cut hard bread into small pieces about 1/2 inch thick. Butter and place under broiler in oven. The last few seconds of broiling sprinkle bread with parmesan cheese. Remove from broiler. Serve with tomato mixture to be spooned on top.
