These were just like my mother used to make. Chewy, fudgey, perfect, delicious. My family just loved them. Oh and I forgot to mention that I had run out of baking chocolate and so I used 1/2 cup or cocoa powder, and it worked well. Thanks for the recipie, Cindi.
This recipe was so good!! I used chocolate chips instead of the baking squares because that's what I had on hand. I also used less sugar and they turned out perfect!! I can't wait to make them again!
Yum! Easy to make. Melted the chocolate and butter in a large glass bowl in the microwave, then stirred in the rest of the ingredients. Greased but didn't flour the pan. At 25 minutes the brownies were done but still good and fudgy. Great recipe, thanks for sharing!
So good & soooo easy!
These were delicious!!!!!! Best homemade brownies I've ever made. Thanks for sharing.
I didn't have chocolate squares so I used cocoa, they turned out great. Moist, and very good. This recipe is a keeper.
These brownies were wonderful . I did do a few things a bit diffrent though I used 1 1/2 cup semi-sweet chips instead of the unsweetened squares and cut the sugar by half, and threw in some leftover white choc. chips I had around. I also baked about 10-15 min longer and the result was absolutly great super fudgy and a rich. The pan only lasted about 2 days with my husband and girls already wanting more :) thanks for posting it.
These brownies turned out great. I switched up a few things due to what I had on hand. I used 3/4C. cocoa powder instead of chocolate squares, lowered the sugar to 1.5 C instead of 2C, added 2 Tsp's of instant coffee and some leftover semi-sweet chocolate chips, both stirred into the batter. Baked for 25 minutes, and it came out extremely rich and chocolaty! Thanks for posting!
Delicious brownies and simple to make! I used pecans instead of walnuts in the brownies and they were delicious. I cooked them about 5 minutes longer as they were still really fudgy and would have had to eat them with a spoon. I also used cocoa instead of flour on the pan which gave them some more chocolaty flavor.
These are delicious! I only had baking cocoa, so i used three tablspoons of cocoa and one tablespoon of oil per square of baking chocolate. Worked like a charm. I also stirred in a couple tablespoons of really finely ground coffee. I cut back the sugar by about a third of a cup. The result was a rich, delicious, dark chocolate brownie. I will definitely make these again!
