I dont have an oven. Can I make this in my microwave?
I tried this recipe but didn't care for it using the boiling water - it was too thin and bitter - so I changed it up buy replacing the hot water with hot unsweetened vanilla almond milk. That made all the difference in the world! The pudding was creamy and thicker. I'm sure regular milk would work as well.
One of our favorites - we also add chopped nuts to the dry ingrediant mix. And combine the cocoa and brown sugar with the boiling water before pouring it all over the mix. Chef #1478365 may have had bad luck if using a low quality cocoa - but you can always add more cocoa than the recipe calls for.
I dont know how it is possible anyone gave this 5 stars. It is gross and a waste of time. It has no chocolate taste almost at all and the "pudding" is this runny flavorless goo at the bottom that looks like hot fudge but surprisingly has zero taste as well. The cake part is also nasty. Even a big scoop of ice cream can not save the recipe. GROSS
Everything in one shot! Brownie and fudge sauce. Super easy and super tasty!! Thanks!!
oh my goodness! this was utterly delicious! i love it to death!! if i could i would probably eat it every day!
Really outstanding! This is very similar to one my mother made in the 1960's and 70's. Perfect dessert for a cold winter night! Even better served warm with ice cream!
The best chocolate cake recipe EVER.
