This is THE best coffee cake we've ever had. I wish I could give it more than 5 stars. My DH and sons raved about it. It has a fabulous almost crunchy crust and the cake part is so moist and full of flavor. This is one of those cakes that you just can't stop eating so don't make this if you are on a diet! LOL The pecans on top also make this a delicious dessert. This is definitely a keeper (my DH even said so, too). Thanks for posting another winner, Juenessa!
i made this and took it to work today. everyone loved it and requested the recipe. it was very sweet and buttery. would probably also be good with some blueberries on top.

Yum! I really enjoyed this - super easy and tasty. DD said it was OK. Not something we could have every weekend (we'd all be huge!) but a nice treat once in a while. I think next time I'll add about 1/2 tsp of salt to the batter, just to round out the flavors. Brought the leftovers to work this morning and everyone is telling me how good it is. Very rich and very moist. As rich as it is you could probaly get alot more than 12 servings. Made for PAC spring 07.
We thought that the flavor of this coffee cake was wonderful. However, it is not a high rising cake at all ~ which I like in my coffee cakes. It is very moist. When I was putting it together, I realized that the batter was not going to pour over the bottom so I spooned it in and spread with a small spatula and that worked OK. The overall look of the cake was not what I expected but that didn't diminish from the taste at all. Thanks so much for posting!
