wow! this is the best glaze for ham Ihave tried. I was looking for something close to the glaze that is used on the honey baked ham company's ham. this is it! I did tweak a bit but not far from the receipe. try adding 1/2 tablespoon honey, the added sheen to the finished product is amazing. thank you

Made this for a ham I bought that was not glazed. It made the ham taste so much better and everyone loved it. Will use again if I purchase another unglazed ham.

Really good. Wish it were thicker, so next time will add corn starch or more flour, but just a touch.

I've used this glaze a few times. Everyone in the gobbles it us from my 65 yo mom to my 7 yo son. I'm making it yet again today for New Years. It goes great with collards, black eyed peas, homemade potato salad and blueberry cobbler. Lol... I'm pregnant with twin girls and I love to cook!

Just made this for Christmas dinner. Will definitely be using again. Best ham I have had in a while.

This is my first review of a recipe. I always read and appreciate people being honest.
This recipe was GREAT! I did not use the sherry. I had an 18 lb whole ham so used 1.5 times the recipe just as listed. I got great compliments from everyone. This WILL be the glaze I use in the future. (Note: I used a very inexpensive ham on sale ... but it was GREAT with this glaze.)
I made this glaze yesterday for my very first attempt at cooking a ham. It turned out great! Not only was it my first ham but my first time hosting my husband's family Christmas Dinner. This recipe was very easy and will now be my go to ham recipe. I didn't add the sherry but took the advise of someother reviewers and added 1/2 tablespoon honey. I loved the flavor of the ham. I was kinda scared of the vinegar but it turned out great! Thank you for sharing this WONDERFUL recipe!!!

This glaze was good, but I've had better. I didn't really taste it. Maybe because I just put it on the outside and didn't drizzle any on the slices - as shown in the pic. I'm going to try it again and scoop up some to use as a condiment for the slices.

I am super picky. When I made this glaze I thought I had ruined dinner since all I could smell was vinegar. Not wanting to waste the ham I cooked it anyway (my boys will eat anything) So glad I followed through. I loved this glaze. Thanks for sharing!!!!

Fantastic ham glaze! So much cheaper than the maple syrup glazes and just as good. I halved the recipe for one large hamsteak, but I could have quartered it. Thanks for the keeper!

I cut the ingredients by half and used the glaze on ham steaks on the grill, It worked wonders on both the appearance and the taste of of the ham steaks.

I used ham drippings instead for the sherry & water, and a little honey, didnt need the flour as I mixed together on low heat in pan & added 1/3 cup of raisins to it & a little more grey poupon to taste. (it thickened as it came to a soft boil) I did not glaze ham with it, family added it at the dinner table served warm, it was a huge hit ! Will make it again !

Absolutely Amazing! My boyfriend and his friends just stood in the kitchen and dipped ham into the glaze at the bottom of the pan. It will definitely be added to my recipe book... and many of my family's as well!

This was very easy to follow through with, and (with the exception of sherry) I had all ingrediants in my kitchen! Not only was it easy to make, but it tastes YUM! I almost wanted to lick my plate clean, no joke. I stopped myself.

Simple and tasty (very tasty) glaze! I made two batches of it in order to baste the large ham I was cooking and to baste it throughout the baking. My boyfriend and his family loved it. The sweet flavor was a nice accompaniment to the salty ham.

This is great! I always use the little glaze packet that comes with a spiral cut ham, but this time they forgot to put the packet in and we are certainly glad they did! I'll never go back to them and will enjoy your recipe over and over. Thank you for saving Easter!

This is the best glaze. My son requests that I put this glaze on ham whenever we have it. It's a reliable recipe that I use often.

I made this recipe as written with the exception of cutting back a little (1 1/2 Tablespoons) of the sherry. I used a bone-in ham and we loved this. The glaze has a wonderful smell while baking. I plan on using this recipe for Easter dinner. I can't wait for leftovers this afternoon....lol. Thank you so much for sharingl.
