Oh..these are a wonderful tasting sugar cookie. I've made regular sugar cookies b/f, but never just by adding brown sugar. What a great concept. I love the added cinnamon too. :-) So moist and chewy. The family doesn't like crunchy cookies and so this were perfect!~
Freaking awesome! I used half real butter, half butter flavored crisco, left out the cinnamon, and added a package of the butterfinger baking bits and about half a six ounce package of chopped pecans. OMG, they are SO, SO, good!
These cookies and just "Ok", not the greatest in flavor as they're a bit too mild in sweetness in my opinion. I had 47 cookies in total, so I froze half the batter. If your really craving cookies and you really want to bake you can make these on the fly since their ingredients are very simple and are staples in most pantries. However, after I calculated the nutrition value for my batch I decided to not make these ever again once my frozen dough runs out. One cookie has about 100 calories and it's not worth the guilty indulgence! For such a high calorie cookie I much rather bake other kinds that pack more of a sweet kick for those days when I decide to treat myself. My husband and his coworkers will eat just anything so he'll be taking these to work. On the up side the light cakey texture is great. They just weren't sweet enough for me. My husband said their more like cookies for accompanying your coffee or tea for breakfast. If that's what you enjoy then you'll love these!
wow i am hooked i truly love this cookies thank u for shearing i am at home mom to so easy and so good i will never make a plane sugar cookie again thank u i don't<br/> like sugar cookies i love this one
These cookies turned out wonderful. My family liked them. They said the cookies reminded them of snickerdoodles, but different. :) Not sure what that means-- but I liked the cake texture of them. I will make again-- maybe I will throw in some chocolate chips next time.
These cookies are heaven - they are soft, chewy, and simply melted in my mouth! I added chocolate chips since my family are chocoholics (see pic) and it turned out great.
These were delightful! I love the flavor and they were a lot of fun to make. the dough was a bit soft, so I rolled it out carefully, and used floured cutters. They plumped up really nice in the oven, and I under-baked them just a little bit, I didn't want them to get hard. When cooled off a bit, I frosted with caramel Icing, http://www.recipezaar.com/21896 and had to spread it out with my fingers (It wanted to slide right off the cookies and also my spatula!) I let them harden and they look so pretty. I love the brown/beige color combo. Taste better than a sugar cookie, imo. Now I have a whole tray of beautiful cookies to share and I know everyone will love them as much as I do.
These cookies are okay, but I am looking for thinner crispier cookies, like grandma used to make.
these were pretty good. they were a little dry at 9 min though so i would take them out sooner next time. chewy and cakelike
These yummy cookies are mildly flavored and hold up well in the cookie jar, chewy but not crumbly. Thanks for a keeper!
