I cut the brown sugar down to 1/4 cup because The recipe seemed too sweet in my opinion, I also added a tsp. of chipotle pepper to add some smoky heat. It was pretty good and very easy to put together for a quick supper. I topped it with some chopped fresh onions and a sprinkle of cheddar cheese . Served it with Tortilla chips on the side.

This was so delicious! The brown sugar gave it a sweet/tangy flavor that reminded me of BBQ-sauce! Th chili was so good - it was hard to stop eating it! I did had some extra veggies (1 cl. garlic, 1 celery stalk, 1 carrot, 1 bell pepper, 1 hot pepper) and used a can of diced tomatoes rather than tomato juice. I also added red pepper flakes and some hot sauce to give it some hotness! This was so good - it is my new chili recipe! Can't wait till it gets cooler so I can make it again!!!

i dont cook that much at all, but i came across this recipe and on a cold rainy night i cooked! The only things i tweaked were sauce instead of juice and added a touch of cumin and a can of rotel. This is the best chili ive ever made. My husband just loved it, which is a home run for me?? Thanks for posting

I love to cook and bake. I work for a non-profit and often bake for my volunteer committees when they have a meeting...now some expect it! My lunch hour at work is normally spent going thru new recipes and photos on the 'zaar.
