    I got this recipe by using the sauce from "Brown Sugar Chicken" on this website and pouring it over my chicken and veggies in my crockpot. It was delicious. You can add more veggies if there's room in your pot.

      Slice the veggies and layer in crockpot.

      Place chicken on the veggies.

      Combine sauce ingredients and pour over chicken.

      Cook on high for 4 hours or low for 8 hours.

      I tried this in my crockpot with a whole chicken. For vegetables I used cubed purple potatoes (had on hand), onion, and carrots. Poured the sauce over the chicken and got a lot of nice broth in the pot. I am going to use it to make more chicken broth. Everyone gobbled it down. Even the 3 yo ate the carrots (which he normally doesn't like.) Thanks for another great chicken crockpot recipe. UPDATE: I used Sucanat for the brown sugar and used the suggested veggies (I had 1 sweet potato and 1/2 head cabbage on hand!) The veggies smelled like sauerkraut as they were cooking, but they tasted more sweet. Really great combo.
